GLASS BEAD MAKING CLASSES AVAILABLE - DISCOVER THE AMAZING MAGIC OF MOLTEN GLASS

Carole Griffiths was first drawn to working with glass in the early 80's, creating leadlight and stained glass windows.

In January 2002, she began a jewellery business called – "The Clown Jewels" making very interesting jewellery using gemstones, rare and unusual beads, interesting findings and antique pieces.

Carole found it became more and more difficult to find fascinating quality glass beads to team with her exquisite wearable art so she investigated the actual making of glass beads. Griffiths started making glass beads in 2002.

"I love the mesmeric quality of glass and have found this medium so incredibly enthralling and exciting. Each and every piece is unique and individual."

Carole studied flame working at the Australian National University, in Canberra. She has also studied under Blanche Tilden, Alexandra Chambers, Pauline Delaney, Peter Minson, Robyn Foster (USA) Roger Parramore (USA), James Smircich (USA) and Katherine Cooke (QLD).

Carole's work is known by her ability to capture the colour, fun and happiness that she experiences whilst working with molten glass.

Carole's work has been showcased at The Australian Craft Show, the Mind Body and Spirit Festival in Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia .

She also has her work for sale in several major galleries around Australia including the National Museum of Australia, the Portrait Gallery, Parliament House and the Canberra Glassworks.

Carole was a finalist in the prestigious national Memento awards in 2006 with her unique glass Canberra Blue bell pin and key ring.
