Saturdays 10am – 4pm

For a quarter of a century, the Gorman House Markets have been Canberra’s much loved meeting place providing opportunities for the community and visitors alike to express themselves creatively, trade and shop in a vibrant environment, access to an audience, engage in the arts and be a part of living heritage.

Please note the market will be open on the 21st December, closed 28th December and will reccomence on 4th January 2014.

Poetry Open Microphone – 2nd weekend of each month

Ghost of the Gorman House Man Hatin’ Matron Poetry Open Microphone (without a microphone but with a milk crate) provides a forum for you to take to the milk crate with poetry or if you want to listen take in some words from poets on the open mic (with-out a microphone but with a milk crate.) Each month we will also be featuring two new Canberran poets.

Zine Tent – 2nd Saturday of each month

Gorman House Gatling G’Zine Machine and Galleria is the place to locate and purchase locally produced zines from Canberra’s poetry and arts scenes; or if you are a zinester yourself, a place for you to peddle your publications.
